Tiree Scarinish Hotel – Terms of use

 

These are the terms and conditions that apply when you reserve a room at The Tiree Scarinish Hotel by telephone or by using any of our digital channels or our website.You accept these terms and conditions when you make a reservation.To reserve your room, you will need to provide your credit or debit card details Please check that your booking details are correct before you confirm your reservation as we will not be liable for any mistakes that you make. We will confirm our acceptance of your reservation by sending an email to the email address that you provide during the booking process. The contract between us for the provision of your room and any other subsequent services added whilst you are with us will be formed when you receive this email confirmation from us.If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, then please contact us on 01879 220308.

 

The price of our rooms fluctuates based upon demand. When you make a reservation request, we will give you a total price for the room(s) and number of nights requested. The price that you pay is the price quoted to you at the time you make the reservation.Room prices are sometimes per person and sometimes per room, depending upon the time of year and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate.A full continental breakfast is included in the room price, but any other meals and extras are not included. You can add any meals or extras and pay separately during your stay.The maximum room occupancy for a single room is one adult, and two adults for a double or twin room. Family rooms can accommodate two adults and one child (under the age of 16). Such a family room may be able to accommodate two children if they are both under 5 years old. You must not exceed the maximum capacity for the room, and we reserve the right to check the rooms for occupancy. Occupancy is not transferable. If you have not paid for your room in full at the time you make your reservation, you will need to pay on arrival. Payment can be made by cash (provided credit/debit card details have been given to secure the booking) or by debit/credit card. We do not accept personal or business cheques.


Your breach of contract

We may cancel your booking with immediate effect by given you written notice by email if you either do not pay us when you are required to do so, or you break the contract in any way.

If we cancel your booking where you are at fault, we reserve our legal rights in respect of your breach of contract. Where your stay had/has not yet commenced, the total payment made or to be made by you for such room(s) shall be deemed a cancellation charge and is not for any service.
 

Save as set out above, we will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by an event outside of our control. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 2pm on date of arrival. Please let us know if you are likely to arrive after 5pm.
 

We ask that rooms be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time may result in a late check-out charge.

Where guests are leaving on late ferries or planes, we will hold luggage at reception and guests may use our lounge and toilet facilities until their departure time.


Our contract with you

You must not:

  • Smoke anywhere inside the premises. This includes the smoking of e-cigarettes. Smoking on our premises will result in a fine of £200;

  • Bring any potentially dangerous or hazardous materials or equipment on to the Scarinish Beach Hotel premises;

  • Use any electrical appliances that may set off the fire alarm system, such as toasters or mini cookers;

  • Tamper with any fire alarms or emergency equipment;

  • Utilise the Scarinish Beach Hotel to store items which could in our opinion cause damage to the room, or be a risk to the health and safety of staff or property;

  • Prevent Scarinish Beach Hotel management, housekeeping and / or maintenance staff from access to your room(s) as and when required by us, with housekeeping permitted full access at least once every two days;

  • Remove, damage or destroy any Scarinish Beach Hotel property;

  • Use any of the technology provided by the Scarinish Beach Hotel to download or access any unlawful or obscene material; or cause unreasonable disturbance to our other guests or any Scarinish Beach Hotel staff.
     

If you cause damage or loss of any kind to the hotel, other guests or their property, you (as the person making the booking) will be responsible for that damage or loss and you shall be liable to pay the Scarinish Beach Hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage or loss.
 

If you or your party cause damage to the hotel, other guests or their property or otherwise breach any of these terms or conditions, the Scarinish Beach Hotel reserves the right to:

  • Cancel your booking with immediate effect and (if appropriate) eject you from the premises;

  • Restrict access to the hotel;

  • Retain all sums paid by you and/or charge you the full amount of your reservation; and/or

  • Refuse future reservations from you.
     

Tiree Scarinish Hotel will not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.

Tiree Scarinish Hotel reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings made and stays in progress by those who have previously breached these terms and conditions, whether the reservation is in that name or not.

We reserve the right to change your room allocation at any point during your stay for any reason.

Use of the Scarinish Beach Hotel website at www.scarinishbeachhotel.com is subject to the undernoted terms of use. Users who do not accept these terms of use are not authorised to use or continue using this website.
 

We may amend these terms of use at any time and any revised version will be effective immediately that it is displayed on this website
